PASTOR PAUL WHITWORTH

I had the honor of preaching for my good friend Pastor Paul Whitworth who pastors the Faith Baptist Church of Plymouth, Indiana, Sunday morning, evening, and tonight at 7 pm. I taught in Sunday school my lesson on "FORGIVENESS." I preached Sunday Morning on "EVERYTHING RISES OR FALLS ON FOLLOWSHIP." Sunday night I preached my sermon on the "THE KEY TO THE HOLY SPIRIT IS MAN'S SPIRIT."

I do not know why but for some reason I could not sleep last night so I stayed up until about 1 am and worked on new chapters for some of my new books. Finally I became a little tired and went to bed. I could not believe it I slept right through my alarm and woke up at 8 am. LAZY, LAZY, LAZY! I meet with the pastor for lunch and I answered questions and shared some ideas with Pastor Whitworth. This is a sharp pastor with a great future!

Tonight I preached "HOW TO BEHAVE IN THE HOUSE OF GOD." The altars were full and many visitors came to the service tonight. The majority made commitments to become involved in their local church. This church has a great spirit!

This has been a good week of soul winning so far! God has allowed me to lead 6 folks to Christ. By the way I received a text from Pastor Nathan Cook about one of the dear men who trusted Christ while I was Riverside, California, how that he walked the aisle Sunday and followed the Lord in baptism. Wow! The King James Bible is not just complete it is FLAWLESS! The King James Bible is incorruptible seed that produces the new birth! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

PREACHING AT THE FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH

I was so pleased Friday when I discovered that I would not have to leave home until 10 am to catch the 11:15 am flight to DFW from the Longview, Texas, airport. Generally I am up at 3 am or so in order to catch the early flights.

I flew to DFW and then on to flight 540 to Indianapolis, Indiana. I was met at the airport by Pastor Paul Whitworth and we traveled about two hours to Plymouth. I registered at the Holiday Inn Express and the pastor was so gracious to allow me to drive his Mini-van while I am here.

This morning my phone rang at 5 am and no one was there. In a few minutes it rang again and there was no one there. I called down to the desk and the lady said I have you down for a 5 am wake up call. I said no mam! No one in there right mind would want to wake up at 5 am and she said that's why I set it for you! We laughed! She apologized! I couldn't go back to sleep after that so I had my quiet time, ate a light breakfast, and walked three miles on the treadmill. I stopped by the desk and joked with Jackie the clerk.

I then went back up to my room and went over my Sunday school lesson and sermons. I called Mrs. Gray to check on her. Pray for her, our daughter Karen is bringing lunch today for her. Hopefully she will buy it! Ha! I showered, dressed, and went down stairs to leave for church.

Jackie was sitting at her desk with her door open and so I chatted with her a little bit. I gave her one of our church tracts. I then proceeded to give her the Gospel. She was very kind and in a few minutes she prayed with me to trust Christ as payment for all of her sins. WOW! What a great way to start Sunday. We had four professions of faith this morning. Jesse along with his wife Valecia and daughter Bianca walked the aisle this morning making a profession of faith in Christ. God is so good! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

PREACHING IN PLYMOUTH, INDIANA

Mrs. Gray and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary yesterday. I have been blessed with a wonderful wife. God has given us 4 precious children who love God and are doing an excellent job of parenting themselves. Thank you Lord! The truth is I would not want to start over again for fear of making too many mistakes. Our two sons, Bob and Scott, are both preachers of the Gospel. Our two daughters, Kim and Karen, are both women preachers! Ha! If you don't believe me just ask their husbands and children? God has given us ten beautiful grandchildren. I love going soul winning with them and watch them as they lead folks to Christ. GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!

I was surprised when I looked at my schedule for this next trip. I do not have to leave the house until ten this morning. WOW! My body still woke me up at 6! Shucks couldn't make myself sleep in! I will be flying out of Longview, Texas, to DFW and then on to Indianapolis, Indiana. I will be preaching for the first time for Pastor Whitworth who pastors the Faith Baptist Church of Plymouth, Indiana. I have known Pastor Whitworth for many years as an assistant pastor. He has a wonderful family and is a great soul winner. I will be teaching Sunday school and preaching Sunday morning and Sunday night. He has also a rally scheduled for Monday night at 7 pm. If you are in the area please make plans to attend. It will be an exciting time!

God has given me a blessed week with 11 souls trusting Christ. I have 4 lined up for baptism tomorrow. I called several last night and reminded them of their promise to come Sunday. This is so exciting! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

SOUL WINNING WITH GRANDSON NICK

This week has been the 16th NATIONAL TEEN CONVENTION hosted by the Longview Baptist Temple pastored by my son Dr. Bob Gray II. The TEEN CONVENTION made the front page of the local LONGVIEW NEWS JOURNAL! The paper did an excellent job of covering this event with hundreds of teenagers descending on Longview, Texas, from all around the nation. The theme was KEEP THYSELF PURE. Dr. Gray II and his staff did a marvelous job of preparing for this event which is the highlight of our church! His sermons were right on target!

Tonight was our weekly soul winning time for LBT and hundreds gathered in the auditorium to pair up and take the Gospel to our city. I went with my grandson Nick Forgy and the Lord gave us 4 salvation decisions. Two of those were Corey and Crystal pictured with myself. They were so kind to us and allowed us to present the Gospel to them. I have had a great week of soul winning with 11 so far trusting Christ! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

I was given the privilege of preaching tonight and I preached my sermon "THE REBUILT TEMPLE." When Solomon's Temple was destroyed it was a devastating thing to the people of God. The 70 years of captivity were extremely difficult. When God's people returned they built a new temple. However, it was not as elegant, beautiful, or as elaborate as the first temple and the old men wept while the young men shouted. Yet, the new temple had the same Brazen Altar where the animal sacrifices were made. It still had the Table of Shewbread where the bread was replaced everyday with fresh bread from the oven. It still possessed the Golden Candlestick which stayed lit. Also, the Altar of Incense with its sweet smelling odor. The outside did not look as magnificent as the first Temple but it still had the same things on the inside.

The only temple in the New Testament is the temple of the body of the believer and not a so-called church sanctuary. Unfortunately sometimes the believer will damage the new temple that is given at salvation but there are still some things that are in the rebuilt temple that also existed in the old temple.

1) THE BRAZEN ALTAR, A PICTURE OF CALVARY
2) THE TABLE OF SHEWBREAD, A PICTURE OF THE WORD OF GOD (Fresh & Flawless)
3) THE GOLDEN CANDLESTICK, A PICTURE OF SOUL WINNING
4) THE ALTAR OF INCENSE, A PICTURE OF PRAYER

Do not listen to Satan as he whispers in your ear dear child of God who has blown it that you cannot come back and be used once again by God. The devil is a liar and the father of lies. You may damage the outside but the inside still has the blood of Christ, the flawless Word of God (King James Bible for the English speaking people), the activity of soul winning is still available, and the ability to come boldly to the Lord in prayer. The old men may weep because they knew the first Temple but there still is a group of young men who will shout because they did not know the first Temple. KEEP ON KEEPING ON!

16th NATIONAL TEEN CONVENTION

This was the second night of the 16th NATIONAL TEEN CONVENTION hosted by the Longview Baptist Temple of Longview, Texas. Pastor Bob Gray II and his staff did a fabulous job of preparing for this convention of teens from all over America. The theme is KEEP THYSELF PURE! There is a 24 foot high wedding cake with a bride and groom on top. They had some fun using THE PRICE IS RIGHT format before the preaching.

Dr. Bob Gray II preached on THIS IS NOT THE TIME NOR THE PLACE. He did an excellent job of preaching! At the invitation time the altars were packed with young people. During the message there were decision cards placed on the altar and at any time a young person could leave their pew and go to the altar to pick up a decision slip. They did not have to wait until the invitation time. Several took advantage and did so!

I will be teaching the workers this morning, preaching at the 11 o'clock hour, and preaching tonight at 7. I am looking forward to the services! GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!

PASTOR JACK BACHMAN

I traveled to Memphis, Tn., this week end to preach for my friend Pastor Jack Bachman who pastors the Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor Bachman has been pastoring here for three years and is doing a great job of leading this dear church to be soul winners. He comes from a great family with a great dad! Pastor Bachman is one the most organized men I have ever met. I have always felt and taught the principle NO FORM NO FILLING! This man of God has his act together!

This morning I taught the men's class in Sunday school and taught a lesson on LEADERSHIP. I used Matthew 20:20-29 and I Corinthians chapter 11.

1. LEADERSHIP IS A SUBMISSION TO A GREATER
2. LEADERSHIP THUS IS FOLLOWSHIP
3. LEADERSHIP THAT IS FOLLOWSHIP ATTRACTS FOLLOWSHIP
4. LEADERSHIP WITH FOLLOWSHIP IS HELD TOGETHER BY THE SAME GREATER AND IS REFERRED TO IN SCRIPTURE AS MUTUAL FAITH
5. LEADERSHIP MUST ORGANIZE FOLLOWSHIP IN ORDER TO SERVE THE SAME
GREATER MORE EFFECTIVELY
6. LEADERSHIP THAT LOSES ITS SUBMISSION TO THE GREATER WILL LOSE THE
SUBMISSION OF THE LESSER
7. LEADERSHIP'S GREATEST DANGER IS THAT THE WORK WILL SUFFER
BECAUSE THE WORKER SUCCEEDS

I then preached my sermon "WHO SHALL BE DAMNED?" The Lord gave us 7 professions and 6 baptisms. This is a church that is primed and ready to do a great work of reaching this needy city with the Gospel. So far this week the Lord has allowed me to lead 7 souls to Christ! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING.

2010 NATIONAL TEEN CONVENTION

This morning I was up at 7, had my quiet time, ate a light breakfast, and then did my 3 miles on the treadmill. When I came back to my room and opened up my phone my son Pastor Bob Gray II had sent me a picture of some of the decorations for the NATIONAL TEEN CONVENTION to be hosted by the Longview Baptist Temple of Longview, Texas, next week. It is always the highlight of our church when teens from all over the USA converge on Longview and LBT.

This year the theme is on PURITY! I am looking forward to hearing my son preach and then too preaching myself. If you are in the area please take time to attend one of the services. There will be day services and night services through Wednesday night.

This TEEN CONVENTION was born in the heart of my son and it has developed into one of LBT's best conferences. I am very proud of both of my sons and especially their influence on young people for Christ! Oh, yes I am proud of both of my daughters too and with their influence over their husbands! Ha! GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!

Did you hear about the wife who was seeking help from her doctor. The doctor asked her if there was any insanity in her family? She said, "Yes! My husband thinks he is the head of the house!"

TRAVELING TO MEMPHIS

I was up at 7 this morning, had my quiet time, fixed breakfast for Mrs. Gray, walked 3 miles on the treadmill, ate a light breakfast, and loaded the car for my trip to Memphis, Tn. I am preaching for my good friend Pastor Jack Bachman who pastors the Calvary Baptist Church.

As I left Longview, Texas, I checked my iphone and there was a text message from Pastor Robin Smith who pastors the Fort Worth Baptist Temple of Fort Worth, Texas. He was at a summer camp with his children and he knew I was traveling to Memphis. They were traveling back on I-30 heading home and he asked if we could meet somewhere and have lunch! I told him I would be in Texarkana, Arkansas, at noon. We agreed to meet at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant. We had a great lunch and time of fellowship. His wife went to Heaven a couple of months ago and it has been a difficult thing for them but they are still in the battle for souls. I admire this dad and family more than they will ever know! What a testimony of the grace of God!

When I arrived at the Holiday Inn Express I checked in, unloaded the car, unpacked the clothes, set up house keeping, and returned to the foyer to meet Pastor Bachman. We went to my wife's favorite place Cracker Barrel. After the meal while the pastor was paying the bill I struck up a conversation with two of the ladies who work there. Keedria Hale and Erika Jackson were very kind to me and I gave them both a Gospel tract from our church. In a few minutes after explaining the Scriptures to them we bowed our heads and they asked Christ to save them. It was thrilling! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

CREPE MYRTLE PLANTED IN 1997

I was up at 7:30 this morning! Lazy, lazy, lazy! I had my quiet time, 3 miles on the treadmill, fixed breakfast for the lady of the house, and went out to pick up the morning paper. I immediately noticed our Crepe Myrtle tree in the front yard! WOW! It is absolutely beautiful. I went back in the house and helped Mrs. Gray to the front door so she could see it and we both admired God's handiwork!

She had it planted in 1997 and it has never produced much of a bloom through the years but this morning for some reason it was in full bloom and gorgeous! It has been hot with a heat index of 100 plus according to the weather man!

I am driving this week instead of flying and to tell you the truth I am looking forward to the drive. It takes about 7 hours to drive to Memphis, Tn., where I am scheduled to preach at the Calvary Baptist Church pastored by my good friend Pastor Jack Bachman. He is doing a wonderful job of leading his church in soul winning. He is a personal soul winner and I always enjoy being with him.

Next week is Longview Baptist Temple's NATIONAL TEEN CONVENTION! Pastor Gray II told me the registrations are up and I am looking forward to being a part of this years TEEN CONVENTION. If you have not decided to attend please make a last minute decision to join us for the week. It is one of the most exciting conferences you will ever attend. If you are in the area please make plans to be here each night of the conference. GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!

GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO

I was up at 5:30 this morning, had my quiet time, ate a light breakfast, and went 3 miles on the treadmill. I was told to quit doing 8 miles a day and cut back to 3 miles and to take Sundays off from the treadmill.

Do you realize all the women that run my life. Our family doctor is retiring after 30 years of being our doctor and a lady doctor is taking his place. My nutritionist is a lady, my lung specialist was a lady, my secretary is a lady, my mail man is really a mail lady, I have an older sister, my wife, I have two daughters, a female poodle, and my 98 year old mother who all have their own ideas about what I should do! Ha! AGREE WITH THINE ADVERSARY! Peace at any price!

I spoke this morning at the 9 am service on the PREPARATION FOR SOUL WINNING! Then I conducted a men's session and spoke on LEADERSHIP! Dr. Mike Ray also spoke this morning and did a great job. He preached KEEP YOUR POLE IN THE WATER and tonight on THE BOWMAN. He did a great job! I always enjoy being with Dr. Ray. Tonight I preached WHY SHOULD YOU BE A PERSONAL SOUL WINNER? Before the invitation even began the altars were full. This is a great church!

My host for this week was Patrick Hayes. He is one of the many men that Pastor Tom Barlament has led to Christ through his personal soul winning. This is a church that has grown from a handful of people to running near 300 each week after nine years. He is entering his tenth year and I predict the greatest days are ahead for this dear man of God and his people!

This has been a good week of soul winning for me. God has allowed me to lead 9 souls to Christ. I love it when pastors call me weeks later and tell me of those who follow the Lord in baptism that I had the privilege of leading to Christ. This past Sunday I had 2 follow the Lord in baptism in 2 different churches. GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

PREACHING WITH DR. MIKE RAY

I am in Grand Junction, Colorado, preaching for my friend Pastor Tom Barlament. We had a great Sunday with many saved and four baptisms.

I spent some time today with Pastor Barlament looking at the new property they have purchased and I was excited to see his vision for the ministry here in Grand Junction. He will be entering his tenth year and is doing a fabulous job of leading these dear people in soul winning.

Tonight I was joined by Pastor Mike Ray of Napa, California. He is one of the finest and funniest preachers I have ever heard. He has a wonderful way about his preaching that helps people to not only receive but relate. I always love being with this dear man of God.

Don Parker and his family are members here at Landmark Baptist Church. I had the honor of being their pastor from 2002 to 2007 at the Longview Baptist Temple in Longview, Texas. They are a fine family and a soul winning family. I will be able to spend some more time with them tomorrow. The pastor has morning services scheduled beginning at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 with a luncheon and Q & A time. There will also be a service Tuesday night at 6:30. If you are in the area please take time to attend. Dr Mike Ray and I will be sharing the pulpit once again. GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD with a FLAWLESS King James Bible!

SUNDAY MORNING AT LANDMARK BAPTIST CHURCH

I was up at 5:30 this morning, had my quiet time, ate a light breakfast, and reviewed the Sunday school and Sermon material for today. I am preaching at the Landmark Baptist Church of Grand Junction, Colorado. Pastor Tom Barlament is the pastor and this is his tenth year as pastor. I preached here many years ago with Dr. Ray Young. I was impressed with the renovations. I love their platform!

I taught in Sunday school on "Forgiveness" and preached my sermon "Who Shall Be Damned?" The building was full and the music was wonderful. 8 folks in the main auditorium responded to receive Christ with 4 following the Lord in Baptism. I am not sure about how many were saved in the other services being conducted on property.

Jerry Sanchez and his son Brandon made professions of faith, Patrick Hayes made a profession of faith, and Jeff Montoya also made a profession of faith. All of these followed the Lord in baptism and I was excited for them. GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

FLYING TO GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO

This has been a good week of soul winning! God has been go gracious to allow me to lead 10 precious souls to Christ in the last 5 days. Flying back on Tuesday sitting beside me was a young lady who was flying for the first time. She asked a million questions! Finally after a while I asker her if I could ask her a question? She said, "Yes!" I asked her if she knew for sure she was going to Heaven when she died? She said, "No!" Can I give you two guesses as to what happened from there? She was from India and very kind and gracious! After going over the Scriptures with her she bowed her head and asked Jesus Christ to be her ONLY payment for all of her sins! WOW! The old preserved inspiration of the King James Bible still works in 2010! AMEN!

I will have to start flying out of Tyler or Shreveport in the mornings from now on! They cancelled the early flights out of Longview Gregg County Airport. I'm not sure who is running the American Eagle company, but I sure would like a shot at it! I will be up at 3 am and leave the house at 5:10 am. Poor Assistant Pastor Bob Queen he will have to be here one hour and fifteen minutes earlier than normal.

I am looking forward to being with my friend Pastor Tom Barlament who pastors the Landmark Baptist Church of Grand Junction, Colorado. I will be teaching Sunday school, preaching Sunday morning, and preaching Sunday night!

He is hosting the ROCKY MOUNTAIN BAPTIST REVIVAL CONFERENCE! If you live near by I hope you will make plans to join us on Monday night, Tuesday morning, and Tuesday night. The night services begin at 6:30 pm while the Tuesday morning service begins at 9 am. There will be sessions for men, women, and teens. On Tuesday at 1 pm there will be a Question and Answer Session. This is a great soul winning church and I hope you will make plans to attend this conference. GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!

SON AND GRANDSON

After preaching last night Pastor Nathan Cook drove me back to the Ayres Motel. I still can't get over the name of the motel. Mrs. Diana Ayres has been my financial secretary for 30 years and I am starting to believe she has been holding out on me? Ha!

When I arrived back at my room I received a text from my son Scott. He, his family, and the Sons of the Prophets were singing at two churches in the area on Sunday. My grandson Joe Simmons is one of the Sons of the Prophets. He is Mark and Kim Simmons' son. We did not realize that we would be so close to each other. He then called me and we set up a date for lunch today at noon. We had a great time! Scott, Jenny, Philip, Stephen, and our grandson Joe along with the rest of the Sons of the Prophets came. Pastor and Mrs. Cook along with his parents also came to lunch. We had a great time exchanging stories about Dr. Jack Hyles, Dr. John R. Rice, Dr. Lee Roberson, and Dr. B. R. Lakin.

The Sons of the Prophet sang for the waitress! They did a great job! The pastor asked Scott to preach before me tonight and for the Sons of the Prophets to sing. Scott outdid himself tonight with his sermon! It was great! The Sons of the Prophets, led by our grandson Joe, did a fabulous job of singing. Of course Joe was the best one! Before Scott even gave the invitation people started coming to the altar. God met with us tonight!

Pastor Cook and I this afternoon went to visit Mrs. Ann Opferman's parents who live just a few miles from the Faith Baptist Church of Riverside, Ca. Ann is married to John Opferman who is a graduate of TEXAS BAPTIST COLLEGE. He pastors in the Santa Rosa, Ca., area. Ann's dad is saved but her mother is dyed in the wool Catholic. This dear couple are in their 90's. They were so sweet and we had a great time with them. I introduced myself as Ann and John's pastor from Longview, Texas. Dad let us in and I meet Mom.

We struck up a good conversation. We laughed and had a wonderful time of fellowship. After about 15 minutes I told these dear folks that I would have to leave and that before I left I wanted to give them a Gospel tract that had my phone number in it. I told them to call me if I could ever be of help to them. I then went through the Scriptures about how to go to Heaven when one dies. I got to the point about the price of sin and Mom said, "I never thought about there being a price on sin!" I carefully went through the Scripture and in a few moments I asked if I could pray with them. I bowed my head and prayed. I then asked Mom if she wanted to trust Christ to pay for her past, present, and future sins to take me by the hand and pray to trust Christ as payment for all of her sins. She took me by the hand and prayed. WOW! What a miracle! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING! Mom sure made her daughter and grandchildren one happy group and believe me it is a large group.

TIM VOGES

I am preaching for my good friend Pastor Nathan Cook, no relation to Jerry Cook, who pastors the Faith Baptist Church of Riverside, California. I will be preaching Monday night at 7 pm. If you are in the area come on over and I promise you will enjoy this church. This church has a great spirit. There were 10 saved today and 5 baptized. We had a great service this morning and tonight. I preached tonight my sermon "How To Behave In The House Of God." The altars were packed and the people responded to the preaching! I believe the Holy Spirit had complete liberty tonight.

The first time I came here to preach I could not help but notice how their song leader Tim Voges looks so much like Allen Spencer our head usher at Longview Baptist Temple. This is a good man and is doing a great job with the music at Faith Baptist Church. Maybe Allen Spencer needs to start taking music lessons? Ha! Gotta love serving the Lord!

CHRIS AND NECOLE MIDDLETON

I was up at 6 this morning, had my quiet time, ate a light breakfast, showered, dressed, and prepared for the Sunday school lesson and sermon. I then finished a chapter on my new book on FRIENDSHIP. Several of my new books are at the printers. SUFFERING?, SUFFERING FRUITFULLY, and THE DOCTRINES OF SALVATION. Also, I have other books in the process of being proofed. I have THE PERSONAL SOUL WINNER'S MANUEL and the book on HEAVEN being proofed. I have just started a series of books on JESUS and the current work on FRIENDSHIP along with my JUST A THOUGHT series. There will be ten of the JUST A THOUGHT books all together.

I am preaching at the Faith Baptist Church of Riverside, California today and tomorrow. This is a great church with a great spirit. Pastor Nathan Cook, no relation to Jerry Cook, is the pastor. This morning in Sunday school I taught the lesson on "The Lines of Defense." I preached this morning my sermon "Why Do I Still Have My Burdens?" Many after the service thanked me for the sermon and mentioned how it answered many questions! There were 8 saved and 4 baptized this morning. They always have a wonderful response to preaching. These folks love preaching. This morning Chris and Necole Middleton made professions of faith. They have a ten year old daughter I have not had an opportunity to speak to her. Hopefully I will have that opportunity to talk to her about the Lord tonight.

I was just going over my soul winners New Testament. God gave me 32 salvation decisions last month and 12 baptisms. I a little ahead of last year and hopefully I will be able to finish the year ahead! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

WENDY PORTELO

I was up at 4 am this morning. I emptied the dish washer, showered, dressed, had my quiet time, and fixed a light breakfast. Grapefruit and toast! Is that light enough? I always pack the night before and so this morning I loaded my luggage in the car. I am flying to Ontario, California, and preaching for my good friend Pastor Nathan Cook (No relation to Jerry Cook). Pastor Cook pastors the Faith Baptist Church of Riverside, California. This is one exciting church for sure!

I have only two times in all of these 30 plus years of traveling and preaching every week ever had what happened to me here. Several years ago I flew into Ontario on a Monday and waited at the airport and no one was there to pick me up. So, I called Pastor Cook and he said, "Hello!" I said to him, "I'm at the airport!" He said, "What airport?" I said, "Ontario." He said, "What are you doing there?" I said, "I am supposed to preach for you tonight and tomorrow!" He said, "No! That's next week!" I said, "Oh no that can't be?" I told him, "Well, I m so sorry about the mix up! I will just catch a flight back home! I'm scheduled somewhere else next week so we'll work out another date in the future!" He said, "Oh no we can't do that! I'll get on the phone and call our people and we'll go ahead and have church!" I could not believe it! The building was not full but it sure looked good for just getting on the phone and contacting the members. We had a great meeting! This is a great church!

By the way the other time was when I flew to Monterrey, Mexico, to preach, as I did for over a decade, for Missionary Tommy Ashcraft. Some how the dates were one week off and He was in Central America preaching and so I spent the night in Monterrey and then flew back the next day. I just flit around the world! Ha!

Today I arrived a little early to the Ontario, California, airport. Pastor Nathan Cook (No relation to Jerry Cook) picked me up and took me to the Ayres Motel in Corona, California. I wonder if Mrs. Ayres has been holding out on me. Could it be that she is really rich and owns these motels? I checked into the motel and greeted Wendy Portelo at the front desk. I asked her if they had a treadmill and she said, "Yes we do!" I then asked her if she would get on the treadmill for me. She said she needed too! I really felt bad then, because I thought she thought I was saying she was a little chunky. I went to my room and then left to go to Von's Grocery Store to get some fruit. On my way out I stopped by the front desk hoping that Wendy would still talk to me. We laughed and cut up a little bit. Then I gave her a Gospel tract from our church. I went through the Scriptures carefully and reviewed them. Soon she bowed her head and prayed to trust Christ as payment for all of her sins. She thanked me and went to the store feeling a whole lot better! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINING!
