Dr. Russell Anderson
Tonight I had the honor of preaching with Dr. Russell Anderson at the UNITY BAPTIST CHURCH of Mount Olive, NC. He preached first and I preached second. He challenged the laymen to do their part to double their church by next year. I love hearing this man preach. He reminds me more and more of Dr. John Rice as we travel together. We had lunch together with some pastors today and it was very enjoyable.

We gave the front desk a 3 am wake up call time, which is really 2 am Texas time! Ouch! I have a 6:15 flight time to DFW and then on to Longview, Texas. Dr. Anderson has a 7 am flight time to Hawaii. Wait a minute! Maybe he should go to Longview and I should go to Hawaii! Ha!

I joke a lot when giving the attendant at the airport my ticket when I say, "No, there is something wrong with my ticket. I am really supposed to go to Hawaii not Longview!" They usually laugh and say, "Sorry you are going to Longview!" One time in Chicago I did that and went on to the aircraft and sat down in the first class section. What I did not know was that this crew had just come back from Hawaii. There were only a few people in the first class section. When the plane took off the stewardesses came out with ukuleles and sang to me while playing the ukuleles. One stewardess put a Hawaiian Lei around my neck and kissed me on the cheek. Everyone laughed! the man next to me said, "Reverend what are you going to do about that?" I said, "I guess I'll have to turn the other cheek?" They all laughed! GOTTA LOVE LIFE!

Pastor Chris Schneider
Pastor Ron Wise
This morning I preached at the UNITY BAPTIST CHURCH of Mount Olive, NC. The Lord blessed with 15 trusting Christ. Pastor Ron Wise will soon be celebrating his third year as pastor. The church has doubled since he has been pastor. I knew Pastor Wise for years while he was youth pastor for my good Dr. Gary Berry of LIBERTY BAPTIST CHURCH of Charlotte, NC. Dr. Russell Anderson preached here tonight while I preached in Clinton, NC.

Tonight I was privileged to preach for Pastor Chris Schneider of UNITY BAPTIST CHURCH of Clinton, NC. This dear man of God started this church 4 years ago. Dr. Russell Anderson preached here this morning and they had 3 baptized this morning and this pastor is doing a wonderful job of leading his young church to aggressively win souls to the Saviour. I preached my sermon, "EVERYTHING RISES AND FALLS ON FOLLOWSHIP!" The altars were full! GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!

Saturday, March 26, 2011

I was up at 6 am, ate a light breakfast, fixed Mrs. Gray a light breakfast, walked 4 miles outside, showered, dressed, and had my quiet time. Mrs. Gray had surgery number 30 this week. She had two hernias removed from under her rib cage. We believe this may have been one of the reasons we have had to go to the emergency room two out of the last three weeks. She is sore but seems to be able to move around a little better.

I did not have to leave the house until 10:15 to go to the Longview airport. Assistant Pastor Bob Queen drove me to the airport for my flight to DFW. At the airport I met Steve Dickerson, Chairman of the LBT Deacon Board. He was on a business trip to San Antonio, Texas. We chatted for a little bit before boarding the flight.

When I arrived in Raleigh-Durham airport the temperature was 45 degrees. Ouch! It will be 32 in the morning and possible snow north of us! Unbelievable! I will be preaching for Pastor Ron Wise who pastors the Unity Baptist Church of Mount Olive, NC. I preached here several times years ago and I am looking forward to being with him in the morning. Dr. Russell Anderson and I will be preaching together in two different churches and then here on Monday night at 7 pm.  If you are in the area please come and be apart of this Monday night service!

I have been inundated with emails about Phil Stringer who spoke at this years Pastor's School of Hammond, Indiana. It is imperative that you know about this man who worked for Dr. Mickey Carter and was deceptive on his stand about the KJB'S preserved inspiration while with Dr. Carter. He knew full well Dr. Carter's position and yet took money under false pretense! He has been very slick on this matter of the KING JAMES BIBLE'S preserved inspiration.

Phil Stringer is apart of inspiration-denying Dean Burgon Society Advisory Council. When Phil Stringer and others from the DBS make statements like, "We believe the Bible is a God-inspired book" they are making reference to the ORIGINALS. He and the others when debating "inspiration" never make inference to any Bible or book that any one in 2011 can hold in their hands!

Phil Stringer will be speaking at the ANNUAL DBS MEETING in 2011. The meeting will be conducted at a Presbyterian Church. One of the other speakers will be Dan Waite, whose lecture is advertised as "THE DANGERS OF AN INSPIRED KING JAMES VERSION."

The DBS membership is mandated to sign a document stating they will not use the term "inspired" when referring to the KING JAMES BIBLE. Dr. James Sightler and others, to their credit, refused to sign it and left the DBS. Phil Stringer stayed and signed the paper. SHAME on fundamentalists who are enamoured more by human intellect than spiritual knowledge! I accept the preserved inspiration of the KING JAMES BIBLE by faith! This is not dual or double inspiration it is preserved inspiration! Too bad you folks at DBS have a perfect dead Bible! I have perfect lively oracles in my KJB! GOTTA LOVE THE KING JAMES BIBLE!

Serina Rogers & Sons

Tonight I preached at the MOUNT ZION BAPTIST CHURCH pastored by one of our TEXAS BAPTIST COLLEGE graduates Pastor Dexter Landers Jr.  One of the great moments of the night was to hear Mrs. Serina Rogers and her sons Timothy, Nathan, and Matthew sing a special before I preached. Timothy was 4 years of age when they were members of LONGVIEW BAPTIST TEMPLE of Longview, Texas. This was such a joy to see and to hear them sing together!

I was asked by the pastor to preach on the KING JAMES BIBLE for the entire conference. This was not what I normally would do in a conference but I did as the Pastor requested. In Sunday school I taught my lesson on "WHERE DID THE WORD OF GOD COME FROM?" I preached Sunday morning on "WHY DO WE HAVE A PRESERVED & INSPIRED BIBLE?" Sunday night I preached my sermon on the "THE SWORD BATHED IN HEAVEN!" Tonight I preached by sermon "THE BIOGRAPHY OF THE BIBLE!" The altars were full with people rededicating themselves to the Word of God.

I)    The Holy Spirit wrote the Scriptures in Heaven (Psalm 119:89-96)
II    The Holy Spirit gave the Scriptures through man to man (II Peter 1:20-21)
III) The Holy Spirit accompanies the Scriptures because He is the Scriptures (I Peter 1:12)
IV) The Holy Spirit makes the Scriptures live because He is the Scriptures (John 6:63)
V)   The Holy Spirit teaches and preaches through the Scriptures (I Corinthians 2:9)
VI) The Holy Spirit keeps the Scriptures alive through inspiration or being "inspired" for all nations and tongues           (II Timothy 3:16; Matthew 5:18; Revelation 17:17)

One of the key words is the word "is" for the Word of God "is" settled in Heaven. So the Words of God were complete in Heaven both verbal and plenary and was given in piecemeal to man on earth within the context of the word "is!" God spoke less as He gave to man His written Words! The Words of God were, is, and will be "is" forever! "All scripture 'is' given by inspiration of God '...for...'" When you attack the written WORD of God you are attacking the LIVING WORD of God!

This is God's Word not man's word for all nations and all tongues! For the English speaking peoples the KING JAMES BIBLE is preserved inspiration for us! It has always been in the present tense of "is." These Scriptures were written in Heaven from Genesis through Revelation in the context of the present tense. As time entered into the picture the Words of God were still in the present tense of "is." When Jesus comes back according to Revelation 19:13 He will be clothed in blood: and his name 'is' called The Word of God."The Word of God will judge us one day but in essence the Word of God judges us today because it "is."

Imagine a pitcher of water! Pour that water into a container. Then pour that water into another container. Then pour that water from that container into another container and do it one more time with another container. Let the water represent the Scriptures settled in Heaven. When you pour that water from the pitcher into the first container it is still the same water that was in the pitcher.

Let the first container be the Hebrew language, the second container the Aramaic, the third container the Greek, and the last container be the English, or German, or Latin, or Russian language. I propose that the water in the last container is the same water that was in the pitcher that represented the Word of God in Heaven! Translation is nothing more than giving the same to another through a different container. Enoch was translated and he was still the same Enoch in Heaven because he was translated!

Romans 16:26, "But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith."

Titus 2:11, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men."

Psalm 12:6-7, "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, OI LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

Different containers same Words! However, Paul gave this warning, II Corinthians 2:17, "For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God..." Water is in it basic form pure! However, it can be polluted or corrupted and Paul warned about such people in his day. We have the same in our day. Do not listen to those who put a question mark on the KING JAMES BIBLE for they are attempting to corrupt our Scriptures and talk down to the saints of God! All of us have a choice of either believing by FAITH or INTELLECT! There is a difference between knowledge and intellect! Someone mockingly said, "Well its one thing to be ignorant and its another thing to be proud of it!" This was a slam at folks who believe by FAITH the preserved inspiration of the KING JAMES BIBLE! Arrogance is not an appealing quality for a fundamentalist leader to possess!

Pastor Landers and Gavin Clark

This morning I had the honor of preaching for one of our TEXAS BAPTIST COLLEGE graduates Pastor Dexter Landers Jr.  In between Sunday school and the morning preaching service Pastor introduced to me his first convert since becoming pastor of the MOUNT ZION BAPTIST CHURCH four years ago. I met his dear wife and family also after the morning service!  God gave us 5 who trusted Christ and 2 who followed the Lord in baptism! The building was full! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

There was an unusual request by Pastor Landers for me. He asked me to teach and preach on the subject of the KING JAMES BIBLE for the entire conference.  I asked if that is what he was sure he wanted and he said yes! This morning in Sunday school I taught my lesson "WHERE DID THE WORD OF GOD COME FROM!"  In the morning preaching service I preached my sermon "WHY DO WE NEED A PERFECT, PRESERVED, & INSPIRED WORD OF GOD?" Tonight I plan on preaching my sermon, "THE TWO EDGED SWORD BATHED IN HEAVEN."

     1) Verbal Inspiration-an every WORD Bible whose WORDS or inspired
     2) Plenary Inspiration-a complete canon of the WORDS of God which are inspired

    1) Faith-I was saved through faith & choose to trust the inspiration of the WORDS by faith
    2) Intellect-There is a difference between intellect and knowledge

    1) Real-II Corinthians 2:17-One Bible
    2) Counterfeit- II Corinthians 11:13-15; Revelation 19:2-Many Bibles

    1) Heaven - Antioch of Syria-Source of our ONE BIBLE
    2) Hell - Alexandria of Egypt-Source of all FALSE BIBLES

   1) To preach (II Timothy 4:2)
   2) To fight spiritual battles (Ephesians 6:17)
   3) To know the will of God (Psalm 119:105)
   4) To have prayers answered (John 15:7)
   5) To grow (Matthew 4:4; I Peter 2:2; Hebrews 5:2-10)
   6) To go soul winning (Psalm 126:5-6; Luke 8:11)
   7) To be saved from going to Hell (I Peter 1:23)

Shannon Teague
Ryan & Caleb

My plane arrived a little early into Atlanta and I was met at the airport by Pastor Dexter Landers Jr. He along with his two sons Ryan and Caleb drove me to the Holiday Inn Express, which will be my home away from home for a few days.

When I arrived I was greeted at the front desk by a young lady named Shannon. She was so kind and I told her she looked just like a lady who did my proofing for my books Mrs. Marsha Parker. We struck up a conversation and soon God gave me an opening to present the Gospel and she listened to the Scriptures. Just as she bowed her head to pray to receive Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour the stupid phone rang. I continued praying and she kept right on praying calling upon Jesus Christ to save her soul from going to Hell! WOW! I was thrilled! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

Friday, March 18, 2011

I taught my KING JAMES BIBLE class today and we had a wonderful time exploring the Holy Scriptures.  We discovered some great things about the WORD of God.
1) The Scripture has eyes (Hebrews 4:13)
2) The Scripture has a mind (Hebrews 4:12)
3) The Scripture thinks (Hebrews 4:12)
4) The Scripture judges (John 12:48)
5) The Scripture foresees (Galatians 3:7-8)
6) The Scripture preaches (Galatians 3:7-8)
7) The Scripture speaks (Romans 9:17; Proverbs 6:20)
8) The Scripture leads (Proverbs 6:20)
9) The Scripture saves souls (James 1:18,20)

Hebrews 4:12-13 teaches five things about the WORD of God; quick, powerful, sharper, piercing, and discerner. Hebrews 4:13 mentions the words "his sight" and "the eyes of him." Verse 12 holds the antecedent for the pronoun "his" and "him" in verse 13. The Holy Scripture speaks of itself as a living person. GOTTA LOVE PRESERVED INSPIRATION!

I preached in the TEXAS BAPTIST COLLEGE chapel my sermon "FORGIVENESS." I received numerous text messages from the students who thanked me for this very practical truth. One veteran saint told me he wish someone had taught him that truth in his early days of his Christianity.

I will be up at 3 am in the morning to prepare to fly to Atlanta, GA., to preach for one of our TEXAS BAPTIST COLLEGE grads Pastor Dexter Landers Jr. He pastors the MOUNT ZION BAPTIST CHURCH of Whitesburg, GA., which is just outside of Atlanta. He was one of our Bus Division leaders when he was in college and ran 10 bus routes from the Shreveport - Bossier City area. He was one of the best! If you are in the area we will have a Monday night service at 7 pm. I hope to see you there!

Pastor Lander's dad, Dexter Landers Sr., is on the church staff here serving under my son Dr. Bob Gray II at the LONGVIEW BAPTIST TEMPLE of Longview, Texas. His dad is a prolific personal soul winner and weekly has people saved and down the aisle of our church.

This has been a good week of soul winning for me. God has allowed me to lead 14 folks to Christ. Last Sunday God gave me 3 baptisms in two different churches. I love keeping track of those I am fortunate enough to lead to Christ around the country and then contacting them to make sure they are going to church. GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

Dr. Larry May
Dr. Mike Wells
Tonight I preached at the ANNUAL SOUL WINING AND LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE hosted by Dr. Mike Wells pastor of PARKSIDE BAPTIST CHURCH of Mesquite, Texas. Dr. Larry May, Pastor Emeritus, preached first a great message on "THE SOWER, THE SEED, AND THE SOIL" and the altars were full at the invitation time.

I preached second my sermon "FENCE STRADDLERS" and emphasized the concern I have for the passive fundamentalism I see around the nation. This "Why can't we all get along?" fuzzy and warm white clothed fundamentalism that is allowing seeds of heresy to be sown in our midst. Of course, we dare not say anything because if we do we are trouble makers! I'm sure that is what they called the Apostle Paul in his day too! Funny to me that when Dr. John McArthur preached his heresy concerning the dissipation of the blood of Christ at the foot of Calvary fundamentalism came unglued and stood for the truth of the blood of Christ, but let one of our so-called own put a question mark on the preserved inspiration of the KING JAMES BIBLE and we are to be quiet because it is one of our own! SORRY! No fence straddling here in Texas!

When you sit on the fence you make no progress, can fall easily, and can be pushed easily. Where are the men? Where are the women of God? Elijah asked "How long halt ye between two opinions?" and "the people answered not a word!" What a shame! Friendship should never trump truth. Who cares how your Alma Mater stands! Be loyal to the WORD of God! If there is no preserved inspiration in our English KING JAMES BIBLE which is the WRITTEN WORD then you are saying the same thing about the LIVING WORD. GOTTA LOVE THE KING JAMES BIBLE! It is not just another version! It is not the best it is the ONLY! SOMEBODY SAY AMEN!

Sunday, March 13, 2011

Tonight I preached for Dr. Mike Wells who pastors the PARKSIDE BAPTIST CHURCH of Mesquite, Texas. Dr. Wells is doing a great job of not only personally winning souls but organizing this great church to aggressively go after the unsaved. The soul winning results for April 28 through March 6 resulted in 684 saved, 89 professions and 29 baptisms with an attendance of 693. The soul winning results for March 7 through March 13 gave them 1,010 saved, 81 professions, and 25 baptisms with 637 in attendance on time change Sunday. AMAZING!

I preached tonight my sermon "IS THERE A PLACE CALLED HELL?" and the altars were full almost before the invitation was even given. There were 5 professions of faith and 5 baptisms. I predict that the PARKSIDE BAPTIST CHURCH will be, in the next two decades, one of the great churches in America if they do not veer off course! They have the right music, right standards, right organization, right doctrine, right emphasis, balanced emphasis, and a right stand on preserved inspiration of the KING JAMES BIBLE.

On my way back to the motel I went through the drive-thru of McDonalds next to the Hampton Inn & Suites to order my down fall of two bar-b-que grilled chicken snack wraps and a medium coffee with two creams in the coffee. There was no one behind me. So, after I gave the attendant Steve Gonzales my money I gave him a Gospel tract from our church. I then asked if he knew for sure that he would go to Heaven when he died. He said, "No!" I then asked if he would like to know for sure. He said, "Yes!' WELL SOMEBODY SAY AMEN! Guess what happened next? He bowed his head and prayed to trust Christ to pay for all of his sins! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

Pastor Steve Hamm
Leon Howland
This morning I had the honor of teaching Sunday school and preaching in the morning service at the PATRICK BAPTIST CHURCH. This is the beginning of the Missions Conference at this dear church. Pastor Steve Hamm has been the pastor here for 17 years and he has some wonderful people.

We had 12 saved, 10 professions, and 8 baptized this morning. It was great! I taught in Sunday school my lesson on "FORGIVENESS" and preached this morning my sermon "LET'S GO SOUL WARNING!" The altars were full and the tears flowed! That is how bad the sermon was! Ha! It was a great morning with a great church!

After the service a man named Leon Howland approached me and we struck up a conversation. He mentioned to me that Dr. Jack Hyles led him to Christ when he lived in Garland, Texas, and he was a member of the MILLER ROAD BAPTIST CHURCH. It was such a blessing to listen to him tell about how he came to trust Christ.

He told me that Pastor Hyles had been to his house several times. One night as he was coming home from work he saw the preacher's car in front of the house. He pulled up into his driveway and was furious. He told me that he made up his mind that he was going to tell that preacher off and in not with religious words either. Pastor Hyles was standing just inside the screen door when Leon walked in preparing to tell off the preacher. As soon as he opened his screen door Brother Hyles said to him, "Leon your wife just got saved" Leon said to Brother Hyles sarcastically, "Saved from what?" Brother Hyles said, "Hell!" Then Brother Hyles said to Leon, "Look at your little boy and be careful it would be a terribly thing if you keep rejecting Christ that your little boy would follow you into Hell!" Leon said that got me! He said he looked at Brother Hyles and said, "I don't want my boy to go to Hell nor do I want to go to Hell! Please tell me what I have to do to be saved?" Leon said that Brother Hyles told him how to be saved and Leon bowed his head and trusted Christ as his Saviour.

Leon was best friends with another Leon whose last name was Dillard. This is the man who trusted Christ who was a drunkard and after he was saved he asked Pastor Hyles, "What do I do next?" Brother Hyles said you need to be baptized! Leon then said, "What do I do after that?" Pastor Hyles said to him that he needed to join MILLER ROAD BAPTIST CHURCH. Leon then said, "OK, then what do I do?" Brother Hyles said you need to tithe! Leon asked what that was and Brother Hyles told him it is a tenth of your income. Leon replied, "I don't have a tenth but I have a fifth in the car you can have!" GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

Saturday, March 12, 2011

Here we are again on the road! I drove to Mesquite, Texas, today. I will be driving to Ferris, Texas, to teach Sunday school and preach the morning service at the PATRICK BAPTIST CHURCH pastor by Pastor Steve Hamm. It is about a 30 minute drive from the Hampton Inn & Suites where I am staying.

Sunday night I will be preaching at the ANNUAL SOUL WINNING CONFERENCE at the PARKSIDE BAPTIST CHURCH of Mesquite pastored by my good friend Dr. Mike Wells. Former pastor Dr. Larry May will be preaching first Sunday night at 6 and then I will be preaching second. There will be a Monday night service at 7 pm also! Once again I am looking forward to being with the dear people of PARKSIDE. They had 695 in Sunday school last Sunday with well over 100 saved out on the streets soul winning and dozens being baptized. This is one of the up and coming churches in America.

I had a colonoscopy last week and every thing is fine with the exception of a bruised colon whatever that means. The doctor did not seem too concerned but wanted to see me on the 25th. Mrs. Gray's test came back and her pancreas levels are back to normal but her liver count is still off. So, they ran some more tests and we will find out in a couple of weeks what the doctor recommends be done to help her. If we could just stay away from the doctors we would be ok! Ha! Ignorance would be bliss! Dr. Jack Hyles had a hernia and someone asked him when was he going to the doctor to have it looked at and he replied I plan on doing that, but in my case they will call it an "autopsy."

God gave us several souls this week and I have just called a few to make sure they are still planning on coming to church in the morning. God has been so good to allow my path to cross those who want to trust Christ. GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

Betty Lamb

Today my son Dr. Bob II called and mentioned how he had to go to the Central Title Company to care for some church business. He told me how that Executive Vice President Mrs. Betty Lamb was the one who was caring for some church closings and she had asked about me. He told her that I was having the time of my life writing books, traveling, and preaching. She asked if I had time to golf and Dr. Bob said yes.

Bob then called me and asked if I could accompany him to Central Title Company to see Mrs. Lamb. He mentioned about the golfing statement. So, I took my golf clubs and walked in with Dr. Bob and surprised Mrs. Lamb. She said, "Oh, did he take you off of the golf course?" I told her no I brought them with me to show how retirement is going. We laughed and had a great time. This dear lady and I have closed dozens of closings for the church in these nearly 30 years and now she is dealing with my son Dr. Bob II. I have certainly enjoyed caring for church business with so many great people in Longview, Texas, and this lady is one of many! Wonderful memories! GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!
