I was up at 2 am! I finished my laundry, unloaded the dishwasher, folded clothes, and finished packing for my trip to Ohio. Mrs. Gray was up at 3 and I fixed her a light breakfast. Have to keep the little lady happy! Ha!

I will be preaching for my good friend Dr. Tracy Fowler who pastors the HERITAGE BAPTIST CHURCH of Canal Winchester, Ohio. This man of God and his dear wife have been through some unbelievable struggles. They were in a car wreck and Mrs. Fowler has battled cancer. They are heroes to me!

I have had some problems with my AT&T wireless in my home so I have been on the phone for almost 3 hours attempting to have someone help me fix this problem. The last person I talked to was a technician from the Philippines. The lady's name was Diane.

After we finished our business she asked if I had ever been to the Philippines. I told her about traveling there with Dr. Jack Hyles and our preaching together in the Philippines. I then told her of Dr. Russell Anderson who has built over 100 churches in the Philippines for her people. She then told me that her mother was very religious. I then asked her if she knew for sure she would go to Heaven at death. She answered, "No!" Within a few minutes she prayed to trust Jesus Christ as payment for all of her sins. I encouraged her to go to one of the Baptist churches I had preached in at Manila. She thanked me and we ended our phone conversation.

It dawned on me when I hung up that those calls are recorded by AT&T.  I then prayed that whatever supervisor listened to that recording would also ask Christ to save their soul! WOW! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

Mrs. Gray
Mrs. Gray and I are stuck at the DFW Airport! What a day! We are on our way back from preaching at the LIBERTY BAPTIST CHURCH of Pigeon Forge, TN. Storms and tornados are all over East Texas. We are scheduled to fly to Shreveport, LA., hopefully. We should be home by midnight!

This morning when I brought breakfast to the room for the Mrs.  she asked for some water. I went to the fridge and took a bottle of water out and gave it to her and went into the restroom to get ready. All of a sudden I heard a loud bang like a gun shot would sound. I ran into the bedroom and the ice had exploded out of the water bottle when she took the cap off. The ice exploded into her mouth cutting her lip, gums, and chipped teeth. I have never seen anything like it in my life. Blood was all over the front of her!

I took her to the ER and the doctor sewed her up with 5 stitches. Unheard of! It could only happen to her!

Anyway, after a plane delay, diverted flight to Waco, 2 plane cancellations we sit here and she is playing PAC MAN on her phone. (Note the pic!) I wonder if she will ever travel with me again? GOTTA LOVE FLYING!

Mrs. Gray
Altar Call
Sunday Morning
Pastor Dan Suttles

This morning I preached at the LIBERTY BAPTIST CHURCH of Pigeon Forge, TN, for one of our TEXAS BAPTIST COLLEGE graduates Pastor Dan Suttles. This is a man who surrendered to the ministry when he was 44 and left home to attend college. He was not a young man but he knew God's calling on him was for real. He has been pastoring here for two years and what a great crowd God gave him this morning. The building was packed with people.

I taught my lesson on "FORGIVENESS" for Sunday school and preached my sermon "WHO SHALL BE DAMNED?" God gave us 10 precious souls this morning. The altar was full and the service was certainly filled with the Spirit of God.

Mrs. Gray was able to make it for preaching. The church was so kind to provide her a very comfortable Queen Ann Occasional Chair to sit in. I took Mrs. Gray to the famous "Partridge In The Pear Tree Restaurant" across the street from the motel. By the time we arrived back at the motel her ankles were almost doubled in size because of swelling.

I will be preaching tonight at 6 pm and Monday night at 7 pm. If you are in the area I hope you will make plans to attend Monday night. Several churches in the area are planning on being here for the Monday night service and I would love to see you here with them. GOTTA LOVE PREACHING!

Mrs. Gray & the Bunny
Mrs. Gray was able to travel with me to preach for one of our TEXAS BAPTIST COLLEGE graduates Pastor Dan Suttles! He pastors the LIBERTY BAPTIST CHURCH of Pigeon Forge, TN. He is in his second year and is doing a wonderful job. He and his dear wife are personal soul winners.

We flew from Tyler, TX, to DFW airport and then on to Knoxville, TN., where Pastor and Mrs. Suttles drove us to Pigeon Forge. Mrs. Gray did very well but was exhausted by the time we reached the beautiful motel provided for us.

We registered at The Christmas Place Inn with all of the atmosphere of Christmas. Guess who showed up in the lobby to greet us, none other than the Easter Bunny! Christmas at Easter? The bad thing is I'm not sure Mrs. Gray has been good enough to be visited by the Easter Bunny?

But you say there is no such thing as an Easter Bunny? I know but don't tell Mrs. Gray! GOTTA LOVE FAMILY!

Peyton Hope Lyons

Mrs. Gray had her second surgery in a month to repair her medical pump. She had a hernia surgery a month ago where they repaired two hernias. During the surgery her pump flipped over and the lines were pinched. The doctors had to go back in and repair the pump and lines. The surgery was a success!

I have stayed close to home for the past two weeks in order to take care of her. I have become an expert at house work! Ha! My cooking still has a long way to go! If you do not believe me just ask my wife! I preached in an area church on Sunday morning and on Sunday night I was able to attend LONGVIEW BAPTIST TEMPLE where my son pastors. LBT is in their third week of their Spring Campaign and it is going great. The building has been full each Sunday morning and  hundreds have trusted Christ. Dr. Bob II is doing an excellent job.

During the hand shaking time Sunday night Evangelist Scott Lyons approached me and asked if he and his wife, Becky, could take a picture of me with their new baby Peyton Hope Lyons. I went with him to the Nursery and held their new daughter for a picture. WOW! ALMOST makes you want to have another one? After this Mrs. Gray and I had to have a serious conversation about having another baby and after much deliberation we decided not to have any more children!! Ha! GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!

Dan Chism
I had the privilege of preaching for my good friend Pastor Chris Fowler today. He started and is pastor of the LIGHTOUSE BAPTIST CHURCH of Simms, Texas. There are two spiritual heros I admire and those are the men of God who start churches and who are missionaries. God bless these men and their families.

This morning a man and his mother came to church at the LIGHTHOUSE BAPTIST CHURCH. I was able to lead this son to Christ. This dear man's mother was saved as a youngster. The mother wept and was so happy. Dan will be baptized next Sunday morning. GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

Billy trusted Christ
This morning I drove Mrs. Gray to Tyler for her pre-op appointment. She will be having surgery Monday at noon. We will be leaving the house at 9 am to travel to the hospital. Her pump needs to be repaired and she will have to spend the night at the hospital. She has not slept in a week and is miserable! Thank the Lord though last night she did sleep all night for the first time in a week.

While I was waiting for Mrs. Gray to complete her pre-op work I was on my computer working on a new book on LEADERSHIP. The man sitting next to me asked how it was that I could type so fast. We struck up a conversation and he then asked what I was working on. I told him I was a retired pastor who still preached on the weekends and also writing books.

After a 15 minute conversation I asked him if he knew for sure that if he were to die that he would go to Heaven. He answered, "No!" I opened my Bible and started with I John 5:13. I then carefully went through the Scriptures to show his need of a Saviour to pay for all of his sins. He asked several great questions and then bowed his head and prayed to trust Christ to pay for his sins. WOW! He thanked me and I gave him some assurance verses. GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

One of my latest books is entitled "THE DOCTRINES OF SALVATION." I utilized the word "DOCTRINES" plural instead of "DOCTRINE" singular on purpose. In that book I point out that there is so much that occurred that we as the redeemed were totally unaware of that did happen to secure our salvation. When I walk into a room and flip the light switch on it is by faith.  I do it believing the lights will automatically turn on! Can I explain all that happened to cause it? Absolutely not! Anyone can flip that switch and the lights will turn on without understanding all  the intricacies of the knowledge of electricity.

Titus 2:11, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men." I wonder if that includes Old Testament people who were unaware of all that was written in the New Testament to provide edification and growth? I wonder if they were saved the same way New Testament people were saved?

Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." Hummmm?

Romans 4:3, "For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness." Did he understand all that was behind the scenes or what was to happen in the future that made salvation possible? Absolutely not!

Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Does this mean there must be complete comprehension of everything that makes salvation effectual by the one who calls? No! It means the Lord does the work and man does the trusting! Simple faith in Christ for all.

John 21:25, "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not the books that should be written. Amen." It is the righteousness of Jesus Christ God's Son that will be on the record of the redeemed in Heaven that will allow the redeemed to enter into Heaven. Does any redeemed human being have knowledge of all that Jesus' righteousness entails? I think not! By the way this would include especially those alive in Bible times for they did not have the complete canon of Scriptures.

I fear too much Bob Jones University influence hath made thee mad?

This morning the temperature was 61 and beautiful! I was up at 6, had my quiet time, fixed breakfast for the Mrs. and myself, and walked 8 miles. I took some pics along the 4 mile route that I take and these Azaleas are the best I have ever seen in East Texas at this time of the year. GOTTA LOVE GOD'S HANDY WORK!

I spoke with Dr. Russell Anderson yesterday and he mentioned that someone came to see him to say he believed that Dr. Jack Schaap, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana, was a King James Bible man! The reason given was that he said at Pastors' School that he "Only uses the King James Bible." The issue is not "USING ONLY" the issue is "BELIEVING ONLY" the preserved inspiration of the KJB for the English speaking people. He always uses terms "perfect" or "complete" or "preserved" or "the word of God" but NEVER says there is "preserved inspiration" in the KING JAMES BIBLE! The Mormons use ONLY the KING JAMES BIBLE! Is that the group you desire to be classified with?

The truth is if someone stands up and says, "This bottle I am holding in my hand is 100 % orange juice!" I stand up and say, "This bottle I am holding in my hand is 100 % orange juice!" A person would have to do three things: first, check the label; second check the ingredients; and third have knowledge about the ingredients. If one has additives and the other doesn't then only one is 100 % orange juice. The purity is lost with additives. To say I hold in my hand a perfect, complete, and preserved Word of God and yet add, "I must say however it contains no inspiration" you do not have a 100 % pure Scripture!

In fact on page 84 of his book on "WHERE ARE WE GOING?" he calls it "foolishness" to believe that there is "inspiration" in the KING JAMES BIBLE! Also accusing those who hold that position as being Catholic and Charismatic! Smoke and mirrors! This is troubling! The reason is because this was never an issue among 95 % of the independent Baptists until 2009!

Former pastor Dr. Jack Hyles made it extremely clear and concise his position about this issue in his last Wednesday night Bible study before he went to Heaven! How could Pastor Schaap have taken a pay check from Dr. Hyles all those years and claim to be a loyal man while all the time thinking Dr. Hyles was nothing more than a "closet Catholic" or a "closet Charismatic"or teaching "foolishness."

If you ask Barack Obama if he believed in the U.S. Constitution he would say yes. However, just because you say the same thing does not mean you believe the same thing! The President and the liberals are proving this every day! What people sometimes say is not necessarily what they believe.

MSNBC had a Professor on "Hardball" this week who stated the reason for the uproar over the recent burning of the Koran and the rioting in the Middle East was because the Koran contains the transcribed words of God. The people burned and killed in protest for this reason because to them those words are the exact words of God! He continued that the Bible is not so! It is merely a book written by men! Could this be where we are headed as fundamental Baptists?

Todays political scenario is similar to what is happening in the fundamental Baptist world. The pseudo-fundamentalist own the "narrative" and the "bully pulpit"while the real fundamentalist own the "facts." God's people have always been a "remnant" but I never dreamed this would be within the independent Baptists ranks. Welcome to the "remnant" who believe in the "preserved inspiration" of the KJB!

There is a difference between intellect and knowledge! By faith God's people are saved and by faith they live via Scriptures that contain "preserved inspiration!" To put a question mark on the inspiration of Scriptures that you hold in your hand is to put a question mark on the Saviour!

"Was there preserved inspiration before 1611?" The answer is "Yes! "How do you know?" The answer is because God said so in Psalm 12:6-7! "Which Bible was it before 1611?" I don't know! I  live in 2011! I will leave that question up to you who head up the Greek Department who received your Greek and Hebrew education through correspondence from Moody Bible Institute.

I look back on the death, burial, and resurrection of our Saviour for salvation while the Old Testament people looked forward to His death, burial, and resurrection. Those of the Old Testament and those in the New Testament were saved the same way by "faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ God's Son." By faith I believe the Scriptures were in existence before 1611 because without the "incorruptible seed" or the Word of God the new birth cannot occur!

I refuse to use intellect and academia to put a question mark on the "preserved inspiration" of Scriptures that I hold in my hands! Call me ignorant if you please but I would rather stand on this position before God than the position of you who put a question mark on the KING JAMES BIBLE for the English speaking people!

Did Pastor Schaap clear the air on his position? No, he used air freshner! My question to the delegates is did you hear what he believed or did you hear what YOU desperately wanted to hear that YOU believe? My friend there is a difference between "Only using" and "Only believing!"  To make a stand on "Only using" is to open the door for the next generation to use perversions because after all, you have now placed a question mark on the "inspired" Scriptures you hold in your hands today!

Matthew 4:4, "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." How can Christians in 2011 live unless they have an "inspired" every word Scripture in their hands in 2011? God did it not man! The Holy Spirit moved "through" man, not "to" man, to "give" man the Holy Scriptures. GOTTA LOVE THE KING JAMES BIBLE!

Dr. Carl Carlson
I was up at 5 am, had my quiet time, fixed a light breakfast for Mrs. Gray, ate a light breakfast, and put my luggage in the car. I drove to Irving, Texas, this morning to preach at the FELLOWSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH pastored by my good friend Dr. Carl Carlson.  He just recently celebrated his tenth anniversary as pastor. I have known Dr. Carlson for over two decades and he is certainly a fine preacher of the Gospel.

God gave us 8 souls, 5 professions, and 4 baptisms this morning. I will be preaching tonight at 6 pm and I am looking forward to being with these dear folks once again.

Dr. Carlson's wife is in the hospital with some heart problems and the truth is they both are in bad health. Mrs. Gray has been through many health issues throughout the years and I have certainly a lot of empathy for these dear servants. They could have given up a long time ago but decided to stay with it. I count it an honor to know these dear saints of God!

Mrs. Gray will have to go back to the hospital in Tyler, Texas, on April 18 for another surgery.  Her pump was disturbed because of the last surgery and has ceased to function. They will have to go in and find out what happened and then correct it.

I have some new books going to press in the next few weeks. HEAVEN, THE PERSONAL SOUL WINNERS' MANUAL, 24 CARAT FRIENDSHIP, JUST A THOUGHT! Volumes V, VI, VII, and VIII! Also, I have a five set series  entitled LET'S TALK ABOUT JESUS! If you are interested in pre-ordering please call 903-759-3977 and ask for Mrs. Diana Ayres. I believe you will love these new books.

Also, they are available in e-book form through, SMASHWORDS, and Kindle. Just enter Bob Gray Sr. and you will be shown all of the ones that are currently available in e-book form. You may also go to SOLVECHURCHPROBLEMS.COM to order sermons as well one of 17 other books that I have written!

If you would like to sign up for this weekly BLOG you may do so when you follow the prompt at the end of this email!

This week has been a good week of soul winning with 8 being led to Christ and 3 baptized last Sunday. God gave me 24 souls in February and 35 in March! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!
