If the foundations be destroyed what will God's people do? God's people have diverse views on every subject imaginable. It is as divergent as there are churches. You may have differences on where to draw the line on standards, but we dare not falter on this issue! There are foundational truths that cannot and must not be compromised if the next generation is to know the power of God and the power of soul winning.

One of those doctrines has to do with whether or not God's people have an "every word Bible"TODAY! Are there 22,000 mistakes in our King James Bible? Are the words our grandparents read from and we read from out of the KJB inspired? Do we have to go to England in order to find THE Words of God? Is there such a thing as "incorruptible seed" and "corruptible seed" when it comes to Scripture? Where are the answers and what are the answers?

Do not miss this conference on this 400th Anniversary of our King James Bible for the English speaking world. I believe it will be enlightening and one of the most helpful conferences you have attended in a long time! GOTTA LOVE THE KJB!

Missionaries Rick and Gaylene
I was thrilled to see Missionary Rick Fannin and his wife Gaylene who have served for twenty years in the Philippines. Their home church is the JORDAN BAPTIST CHURCH.  These dear friends graduated from Hyles-Anderson College with the 1977 class.  Although I graduated with the first four year class in 1976 we knew each other well. If you would like to support these who are faithful soul winners contact them by phone at 708-636-8632 or 423-344-5050. An investment in them is an investment in soul winning. GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNERS.

I had struck up a conversation with the clerk of the BEST WESTERN whose name is Abraham.  We laughed as we talked about it being a Bible name and soon he began to ask me some Bible questions. I answered them and that led to the matter of knowing for sure he could go to Heaven when he died. After going over the Scriptures in a few minutes he bowed his head, took me by the hand, and trusted Jesus Christ to pay for his sins. WOW! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

Pastor Thomas Griffin
This morning the pastor picked me up at the motel at 9:45 and I taught my Sunday school lesson on "WHO DO I LISTEN TOO?" Then I preached my sermon "YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN." There are four types of birth in the Scriptures.

1) Plant
2) Animal
3) Human
4) Spiritual

The first three are born with corruptible seed while the later is born with the incorruptible seed of the word of God. You cannot baptize a plant and make it an animal. You cannot baptize an animal and make it a human. You cannot baptize a human and make it a spiritual being.

The first three die because the seed that brought forth life is corruptible seed. The spiritual birth of a person does not die because it is brought forth by incorruptible seed. You cannot improve a plant and turn it into an animal. Neither can you improve an animal enough to turn it into a human. Likewise you cannot improve a human enough to turn it into spiritual life. It takes a spiritual seed to bring about a spiritual birth to bring spiritual life.

Invitation time

The Lord gave us a total of 13 saved, 8 professions, and one baptism. This is a great church. The buildings were full including the balcony and the spirit was excellent. I mentioned to the pastor how many new faces I saw today and obviously the church has grown since last year. GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!

This morning my flight did not leave Longview, TX., until 11:40 so I was able to spend a little extra time to do some honey-do jobs. I then worked on a new book "LEADING FROM THE FRONT." A leadership book that will be helpful to parents, pastors, missionaries, staff, school teachers, bus captains, and Sunday school teachers.

I completed "JUST A THOUGHT! Volume 10." This is the last of the ten volume set of devotionals. Numbers 5-9 will be available soon. The 5 book series of "LET'S TALK ABOUT JESUS" is being proofed and soon will be also available. We just sent "THE SOUL WINNER'S GUIDEBOOK" back to the printer for printing and it will be coming off of the press soon. You can go to AMAZON.COM and enter Bob Gray Sr. and you will find all my books and soon these new ones will be listed there also.

I would suggest you call Mrs. Ayres at 903-759-3977 or 903-576-1307 for special book store rates.

The one I am extremely pleased with and excited about is the hard back book "WHEN PRINCIPLE WAS KING" a study of the life principles of Dr. Jack Hyles. It will be a $29.95 book and will be well worth it. This is a must read for every young servant of God and even you old people too. Ha! Hopefully we will have this out to the public by December 2011.

There will be a special pre-sale offer and in order to get your name on that list please email me at or call Mrs. Ayres at the above numbers and ask to be put on the list. Pastors who order by the boxes will receive excellent book store rates. GOTTA LOVE DR. HYLES!

I flew to Chicago, Illinois, to preach for my friend Pastor Thomas Griffin who pastors the JORDAN BAPTIST CHURCH of Burbank, Illinois. They will be celebrating their 60th anniversary on October 9th with a special Sunday. I will be teaching Sunday school and preaching both services tomorrow. This is a great soul winning church.

The Lord gave me 9 souls this past week and 1 of them following the Lord in baptism. I love winning the lost and I love especially seeing them follow the Lord in baptism and then becoming soul winners themselves. Personal soul winning is God's method for reaching the unsaved. Try it you'll like it! GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

Dr. Jeff Owens
Tonight Dr. Jeff Owens and I had the honor of preaching for Dr. Ron Westmoreland who pastors the BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH of Walls, MS.

The first time I preached with Dr. Jack Hyles was in December of 1978 for his father Dr. Roy Westmoreland when their church was located in Memphis, TN. I preached with Dr. Hyles for 22 years and with him the last time he spoke in Mexico at Dr. Tommy Ashcraft's church. This conference was dedicated to the memory of Dr. Hyles. Dr. Owens and I taught lessons on Dr. Hyles the preacher and church builder.

I preached my sermon "GOD'S SIMPLE PLAN FOR A SOUL WINNING CHURCH" and Dr. Owens preached his sermon "SPIRIT FILLED EARS." The altars were full and the resolve was obvious. The two sermons dove tailed into one great truth! What a great night! After the service we had a time of fellowship with the pastor, his staff, and area pastors. GOTTA LOVE THE SERVANTS OF GOD!

Tomorrow morning at 8:30 the film "FRESH OIL" featuring Dr. Hyles will be played in the auditorium. Then preaching begins at 9:30 followed by an Q & A after the luncheon. If you are in the area please make plans to join us. If not please come Tuesday night for the 7 pm service. Hope to see you then.

Dr. Ron Westmoreland
This morning I had the honor of teaching Sunday school for Dr. Ron Westmoreland who pastors the BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH of Walls, MS. I taught my lesson on "FORGIVENESS." I also preached this morning my sermon "YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN!" God gave us several souls and four baptisms.

BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The church was founded by Dr. Roy Westmoreland in 1961 and his son is now the pastor and has been so for 24 years. It is somewhat similar to the story of the LONGVIEW BAPTIST TEMPLE of Longview, TX. Our church in Longview is 51 years of age having been founded in 1960 by the founding pastor Dr. Nihl Bulkley. My son is now the pastor of LBT and doing a fabulous job as well.

Bethel Baptist Church
Tonight I preached my sermon "LET'S GO SOUL WARNING!" The people responded well and I believe many will be here for the soul warning time this week who may not have been here before. This is a wonderful church and I believe the days a head will produce even more souls.

There will be a Monday and Tuesday meeting this week starting at 7 pm each night with a preceding 6:15 teaching session each night concerning the ministry of Dr. Jack Hyles. There will be a Tuesday morning meeting also beginning at 8:30. Also a Q & A at noon.

Dr. Jeff Owens will be flying into tomorrow and joining me for the conference. If you are in the area I hope you will take time out of your busy schedule to come and join us for a wonderful time in the Lord! GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!

Mrs. Gray went to Dr. Walker and had the final staples taken out this past Wednesday. The doctor gave her permission to travel with me to preach this week end. After her Doctor's appointment on Friday we left about three pm to drive to Walls, MS. We stopped every two hours for her to stretch a little bit. Of course with my herniated disc it helped me also. We spent the night in Little Rock, Arkansas, and then drove on to Walls, MS.

I will be teaching and preaching for Dr. Ron Westmoreland today along with Monday and Tuesday. Dr. Westmoreland pastors the BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH of Walls, MS. This is there 50th anniversary as a church. Dr. Roy Westmoreland is the founding pastor and is the father of Dr. Ron Westmoreland. Dr. Ron has been there pastor for these past 24 years and is doing an excellent job of reaching this area with the Gospel. GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!

This morning I preached at the COLONIAL HILLS BAPTIST CHURCH pastored by Pastor Claud Slate. He has taken a hand full of people and in five short years God has given an exciting church with several hundred members. They obviously worked for months on preparing for there "I love America" presentation this morning. It was heart warming and they paid tribute to our nation and our God. We were blessed with 7 trusting Christ this morning.

Pastor Claud Slate
Tonight I preached my sermon "NEVER, NEVER, NEVER TURN BACK!" The people responded and I believe the days ahead will be even more exciting for this church.

Special program
The people did a marvelous job of not only presenting a flawless program but inviting numerous visitors to attend the service. The music was spirit filled and the program uplifting and not only patriotic but spiritual.

There would be no nation without the Word of God. How dare these modern day pseudo-fundamentalist put a question mark on the King James Bible which is the foundation of all of our lives personally and nationally. If it is not inspired it is then expired! GOTTA LOVE THE KJB!

This morning I was up early, had my quiet time, finished packing, did my 2 miles, showered, dressed, and fixed a light breakfast for the Mrs. and myself. Oh, yes I finished the dishes and the laundry. What a great homemaker I have become. Ha!

Mrs. G had the "pic" taken out of her chest and next week we will find out from Dr. Hickerson if the blood culture is OK. She still has the rest of the staples to be taken out from her hip surgery. She is doing much better. Still have to be very careful not to trip or fall and mess up the surgery.

I drove myself to the Longview airport and caught a flight to DFW and then flew to the Northwest airport in to preach at the COLONIAL HILLS BAPTIST CHURCH of Rogers, Arkansas. Dr. Claud Slate is the pastor and their church is hosting an "I LOVE AMERICA" rally.

I was going over my New Testament this morning and was praising God for his blessings last month. The Lord gave me 44 people trusting Christ, 29 professions, and 12 baptisms in spite of all the health issues with Mrs. G. It really was a miraculous month of soul winning. So far in 2011 God has given me 263 saved with 73 of those following the Lord in baptism. I am 3 ahead of last year at this time with the baptisms. GOTTA LOVE SOUL WINNING!

This Morning I was able to attend LONGVIEW BAPTIST TEMPLE of Longview, Texas, my home church. I rarely ever am home due to my preaching schedule and it was a treat to see everyone and to enjoy my son's preaching.

Mrs. G is having to be taken to Tyler, TX., to an infectious disease doctor for a daily treatment for her staph infection. We even had a chance on Saturday to stop and eat at the Cracker Barrel in Tyler. This is her favorite place in the whole world to eat next to Bob Evans Restaurants, which are only found in the Mid-west. When we pulled up to park we saw three of our dear senior saint ladies there and the four ladies were able to chat for a minute, which in itself was a miracle. Ha! They had a great time!

I was able to take a brief tour of the Sunday school classes and I was thrilled to see a few of them. My son-in-law Tim Forgy is the Youth Director and he is doing an excellent job. The classes were full and the spirit was great. There were many saved and baptized this morning. I am excited about the blessings of God on this great church. GOTTA LOVE CHURCH!

I am home for the week end due to Mrs. G having to go to the doctor each day to see the infectious disease doctor. I will be in my home church for the first time in a long time. Looking forward to hearing my son teach and preach.

Gray's Are Everywhere
Mrs. G is doing much better and hopefully this week will be her last week of having to see this doctor. They felt this would take care of her problem. However, we will not know for sure until they run blood work on her. I bet she'll be glad when I get back on the road. Ha! GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!
